Do you believe in fate? It is in fact quite facinating to me that many claims that there are ways to reveal your personality or even fate just by some calculation... and it appears in every culture... maybe everyone are keen to know what's ahead?
Several friend of mine is very "into" numerology these days, and I had tried a bit of the "calculations"... Not saying that they are any accurate or useful... You can have your own opinion =)
The originals are much longer than the below, it's just too long if i have to paste all of them down here. AND please dun ask me how the number come from...
Your life path is 3...
...You are the number that knows how to "give the people what they want." For this reason many of you also end up in sales or advertising as your innate charm enables you to "sell ice to an Eskimo."...the highest attainment of your life path is the polishing and perfecting of your talent and sharing it with the world. Unfortunately as you do so you may find yourself leaving a lot of broken hearts along the way... As you are very independent and light on your feet you may have a problem finding a life partner that understands your ambitions or that is willing to share you with so many other people...you embrace change without the fear that is experienced by most of the other numbers...capable of making large amounts of money, but also capable of spending it all just as fast...Your tendency to live for today and not for tomorrow is a blessing as well as curse for you as you journey along your life path...
Your expression is 6...
...You are a peace loving, harmonious individual who is a natural born diplomat...You are naturally full of vitality and enthusiasm. You exude a personal charisma that makes members of the opposite sex consider you to be a "catch." Once you are caught you are usually loyal to that one person for your entire life... Honesty and openness is very important in your relationships and if someone breaches your trust you are not likely to speak to them ever again...Ironically, you may be good at caring for others but not so good at caring for yourself...
Your soul urge is 1...
...Your soul urge is to be the best at everything that you do. You play to win and when you don't win you suffer a serious crisis of faith...To be successful you need to temper your soul urges with patience and tact. You need to learn to see other people's point of view and let others win an argument once in a while. You are in such a hurry to succeed that you often make hasty decisions that you regret later. Acting on impulse is definitely a hazard for you on your life path. Rather than listen to your ego, listen to you higher self as well...
This post is to share the reading but I recognize people can have different opinion... You believe in things you believe... My comments? Is it even important? Hehaehahe...
Although I'm now facing many obstacle in my life, I am trying my best to face it and enjoy... Afterall, they are all experience. It is our history and experience which build our character and personality...
Enjoy life... no matter on a sunny day or a typhoon day...
In all these weeks, I've been telling you lots of good things about Knewton's course... However, too bad that I finally need to say I found one point really quite unacceptable to me. Let's see...
Knewton's online course, as I mentioned, are at late nights on mondays and wednesdays. The class run from 10 pm to 1 am, it is the only possible time for me due to the long working hours I have. Sometimes I need to stay at office to finish work even while the class is held, so I might not be 100% focus in the class, this i'm very honest.
Problem is, while I miss the online classes, I turn to the recording available for students to watch at their own choice of time. And I find a big problem! The achive is not listed with all the class from different lecturers! I'm not saying I need my very own class, but I should be given a choice to listen to the same lecturer right? You know sometimes, even the materials are the same, different lecturers would have different presentation methods. I really would like to listen to the same lecturer for the same topic at least...
Therefore, I asked the TA for support, Brigidette, being very helpful and send me links to get onto the archive classes~ However, the links lapse after some time... like 1 day or so (make it totally meaningless)... Thanks so much Brigidette for helping me to figuring out how to listen to the achive... BUT... the support team gave me an answer like this: "as a general rule, we do not guarantee that they will see the specific archive from their class, or any specific archive. We post the two "best" archives as defined by several factors (length, participation, video quality, etc.)."
Well, I'm not asking for my class, I just ask for the same lecturer okay? I feel so uncomfortable while I can only review another lecturer's class... and I can't see any issue on hosting one recording for each lecturer for each topic. I must say other providers like Manhattan GMAT do provide the SAME CLASS achive for review. I'm really disappointed.
I mentioned before, I had two sets of material for GMAT preparation, the Manhattan GMAT self-study plus and the Knewton full-course. I started Knewton classes since monday, and in order to do as much practice as I can, I'm going to work on my Manhattan GMAT too.
The course I bought included all the strategy guides, OGs, schedules and all tools I probably need for GMAT preparation. Another feature is the class recordings. Since MGMAT has their live online class (which is much more expensive than my course), recording are available. I actually think this is a better choice for me since there is no restriction, I can listen to them virtually anytime at my own pace.
Started week 1 classes covering Introduction, DS and SC basics. One thing I noted is that it seems to me Manhattan GMAT and Knewton used some similar strategies for the topics... That's are probably the "winning strategy" i guess?
3-hour class, no video but things works out fine... It is really a good idea to combine my two courses... it's just like learning everythig twice... The only drawback is: there are really LOTS of homework if you study two courses at once... even not counting my MSc and LLB workload...
But I believe only one thing... do it step-by-step and I must be able to get through all these and get to my destination!
Two Knewton sessions for this week are done. Like all the course providers, and probably all educational institutions, homework is unavoidable~ Of course, it is not possible for any improvements if we don't go practice the tricks.
Knewton's practices is mainly in 3 forms: Pre-test, Re-test and Practice question. Pre-test is something to be done before class, for evaluating the current level of knowledge. Re-test are done right after the lecturer, or the day after in my case, usually very short, i.e. 5-10 questions. Practice questions are more in depth, lengthy list of questions which is supposed to comprises of questions of different levels.
Good more good thing about Knewton class I need to say, an alert is sent to my mailbox 12 hours (or other time you can set in your profile) with the time and link of your class, so as the pre-class exercise you'll need to complete before attending the classes. This is great for absent-minded students like me.
Alright, work now...
Finally finally FINALLY... This is the first LIVE(!) online class with Knewton. There are 1-year access to any live 15 3-hour sessions online class. The best thing is, you can change your class whenever you want, just move to your available time, no question asked. Cool right?
The session I picked is 10am - 1pm EDT mondays and wednesday (except some days), since there is a 12-hour difference, it will take place at 10pm to 1am on mondays and wednesdays. O god... I'm not sure if I can think straight at that time, but well... selected.
So today it's the first class. The syllabus says it is composed of the orientation and "Value" of MBA. This is something I appreciated. While other "schools" are only concerning the GMAT material, Knewton seems to really care about the whole MBA thing. So there are even MBAmini-course provided, good to someone who doesn't have much background in business.
Okay... back to class. 1 lecturer, 2 TAs and 1 techician (seems like). Very smooth class. Not much to say as there are not much about GMAT is said. Maybe the time is also not very convenient for most with normal working time, there are only around 4 students in my class (from the response I saw). The class is quite interactive, polling or so. And the TAs are much helpful.
